We've lived here just shy of a year and will be renewing. I was very surprised at all the negative reviews, because overall our experience here has been quite nice.

The apartments are older and not much to look at on the outside, but they've been nicely redone on the inside and look great. They also give a lot of square footage for the money, especially in this very quiet, safe area of town. And the apartments are extremely quiet. We rarely hear our neighbors to either side (we don't have anyone above or below, though some of the single bedrooms do). The neighborhood elementary school is great and there's a trimet bus stop right on the main road.

The office and maintenance staff are professional and pleasant to deal with and we've had little trouble getting repairs done. In fact, because they are older apartments, we've asked to have a number of our windows replaced and it hasn't been a problem (apart from some special order lead time due to odd window sizes). The few times there have been noise issues they've handled it immediately and you can call security round the clock in case of any disturbance (once there was a car alarm going off in the middle of the night and we called and they actually came out to check).

The landscaping is more "forested park" than "perfectly trimmed" but this is actually a positive characteristic for me as I feel like I'm living in a mountain resort town. The proximity to all kinds of trails around here helps. The apartment doesn't have a common area or rec room, but comes with free membership to the Mountain Park Recreation Center, which is within easy walking distance.

Negatives include a lack of extra parking* and extremely steep roads, which make getting out in ice and snow a challenge.

* We pay extra for garage space so it's not an issue for us.
