I lived there for a year, ending in August of 2006. Although I loved my apartment and the grounds, my experience was overshadowed by 2 things: 1. The inability to keep my apartment warm (and the high utility bills that followed) and 2. the insanity of the manager. She was rude, inconsiderate, inconsistent and totally incompetent. If this amanger is still in place, avoid this complex like the plague!
P.S. It took 4 cycles for 1 small load to dry in the pitiful stack washer/dryer units! If you are renting for this convenience - don't!

Wow, Tatureau, you need to get a life. You moved out of this place 8 months ago and you are taking the time to go on line and slam the manager!! It sounds like you are the one with the issues.

I have had nothing but pleasurable experiences with the management and staff at Westlake. And the maintenance staff is awesome!! This sounds overblown to me. All my interactions with the staff have been professional.

I know who you are referring to. This person has since been replaced by someone else. I haven't talked to her much but she has been nice enough in my interactions with her. Even when the manager was the "crazy" person you refer to, the management staff has always been responsive to my maintenance requests and fixed things in a timely manner. The work out room and pool area are kept clean. The landscaping is maintained. The neighborhood is safe, my neighbors are low-key and quiet. Seriously people -- this is all you can ask for from an apartment complex. If your standards are higher than that, it sounds like you should consider buying instead of renting altogether.
