First of all trust someone who is educated, this place is definitely not GHETTO (yeah, it's not spelled gheto). This apartment complex is wonderful. Any time I had maintenance problems, it was fixed within 24 hours or less. They even lowered my rent by $25 per month when I renewed my lease! I am only moving to cut my 45 minute commute down to 5 minutes. I've never had problems with this complex or the management itself. They were upfront about having to pay water/sewer/garbage so maybe the other people that reviewed this apartment weren't listening! The environment is wonderfully peaceful, I feel like I'm living in the woods. There's lots of wildlife to watch when you're sitting on your balcony. The only noise problem is the train, but you get used to it after a while; and when your windows are closed can't really hear the train. The appliances and fixtures are a little old, but not in bad shape and nice compared to other places in Milwaukie. The only other problem I've ever had is with other tenants letting their guests park in my numbered/reserved parking spot. Once I stated that I wanted a spot further away from the "open, non-numbered spots," and that I knew of a parking spot that was open, I asked management if I could switch parking spots and management let me trade immediately. I've still had problems a few times with people letting their guests park in my spot, but that is in no way the management's fault. They even have sent out numerous letters to the community informing all the tenants about this issue, yet tenants still let their guests park there! I would have the cars towed, as the signs above the parking spots clearly state, but don't out of fear these tenants will then key or damage my vehicle! And if you have your guests park in the unassigned spots, make sure they have good walking shoes. Other than the parking problem, this apartment complex is the best.
