Now named Miramonte Lodge...This is in my opinion a terrible place to live. Bad management, and poor parking. Big fees and not worth the money. While I lived here I had my truck towed by the manager because of expired tags. I did not receive a notice other then my truck window had a 24 hour towing sticker posted on it. I was given permission to have this car on site beforehand and considering I drove my other car, and I never have a reason to look at my truck, and I never saw the sticker. Buy the time I could have gotten my truck out of impound the fees were higher then the worth of it. So I lost my truck. It occurred right after a new manager came in, after this point I constantly saw tow stickers and then the cars were gone. She even told me that the rules were going to be strictly enforced. You couldn't even store things on your balcony otherwise you would receive a fine. A guy even had his trailer towed from under his undercover spot. This was ridiculous, I think that if its your spot you can store whatever you want there. Although then parking just gets worse, so i don't know. They went through 3-4 managers during my 10 month stay. They rarely returned my messages, this was very frustrating. Parking is terrible, I would come home at night from work and have to park 6 buildings away. The dog fees are ridiculous being that on top of the fees and deposits you pay a monthly fee. I would not recommend this complex to anyone. And no matter how good you clean your apartment you won't get much back from your deposit even though they told us that the average person does. On the plus side, after the manager who towed my car was replaced, the new manager had the apt. pay for the carpeting when we left. So maybe things are different now. But I'm not taking the chance to find out.
If you had a good experience then good for you...but don't be a jerk and tell those who had the opposite to go cry...very mature...but not really

Hi. My name is Shannon and I'm the, relatively, new manager. I took over as manager in August of 2007 and I will be the first to admit I did inherit some issues with the property. Unfortunately I can't comment on what happened before my time due to the fact that I wasn't here to witness it. What I can tell you is things have changed. You won't be fined for having things on your patio, as a matter of fact I encourage bbq's and patio furniture (no garbage or eyesores though please). I am familiar with the above situation, I was coming in as this was being wrapped up, and there is more to the story. A fine was not assessed to any resident for having a bbq. There was construction being done and in an effort to have everyone clearing off their patio taken serious there was a letter sent out to every resident stating "...if your personal property is not removed and the construction company has to make a special trip back to do your patio you will be fined for the trip charge..." No one received or paid this fine. We no longer charge pet rent, I won't tow your vehicle without really good reason and a reasonable warning. Really good reason being a violation of the written parking policy, such as a broken down or abandoned vehicle. If you have loud neighbors I will work on fixing the situation, unfortunately I can't control other peoples' behavior and there are laws that limit what I can and can't do. I frequently tell people, "nothing in property management is hard unfortunately it's not quick either". I have approximately 500 people living under one roof and I can't make them all happy all of the time, but I work darn hard at it. I'd like to think I am a reasonable person and if you come to me with a problem I will listen and together we can work on finding a mutually agreeable solution. All I ask is that you come to me and give me the chance. I am sorry that I can't make everyone happy, but out of 500 people living here I only have a dozen or so that I can't help. I think those are pretty good odds in our favor. If anyone has questions or concerns regarding anything you have heard or read please feel free to contact me directly. I can be reached by phone at 503-653-5600 or my email swittren@hollandresidential.com
I look forward to hearing from you.
Oh and by the way to the gentleman who wrote this review, I really do appreciate the disclosure at the end about maybe the new manager is different. I am. Thanks again.
