I'm so glad to be out of there. At Lake Crest, every time I complained about anything that needed to be fixed the main manager would tell me "it wasn't like that" or "no one else has that problem", like it was my fault, even though when I spoke with other tenents they had the same problems. The apartment was exetremely noisy, I could here sounds from other apartments, door closing, things like that. If you walked down the hall you could hear dishwashers running, birds squaking, people singing karaoke (it was an enclosed hallway). My neighbor played her music real load and I could here a constant thump, thump. Management made me go to a meeting with the neighbor instead of resolving the issue and I was pretty much told that I could expect noises in a large apartment, but this was unreasonable and the neighbor lied about the noise level. It got to the point where every time I asked for a repair I was afraid I would be charged because they blamed for anything that broke and made me pay to fix them. They treated me with distain. Others had complaints but most people were afraid to voice their discontent for fear of being evicted. After I moved out I was charged for a new carpet because I had a dog and they were unwilling to work with me in making payments and they wanted me to pay over $1,000 in just a few months or they would send me to collections. The manager eyes lit up and sparkled when I told her I couldn't afford to pay that much and she told me in a gleefull voice that she would just have to send me to collections then. I became upset and lost my tempter with her.
