Pioneer Ridge

How can anyone use the word "nice" and pioneer ridge in the same sentence' The apartments are very trashy. Shopping carts were left everywhere. Trash polluted the dead grass. Every single pipe leaked in our apartment which made it have a very unwelcoming smell. Dirty mouthed, drunk, teenagers roam the place at all hours of the night. I did not feel safe in my own apartment with the doors locked and I lived on the second floor. Those "overgrown rats" what I like to call walked all over the cement walk ways and greeting me at the end of my steps. It was disgusting. I lived at Pioneer for just only 6 months and WILL NEVER recommend this place to anyone. I was rarely there as I would stay at my boyfriends house in Portland. When it came time to finally get out of there they refused to give me my 200 dollar security deposit and charged me an additonal 294 dollars for "repairs and cleaning fees". I fought this for about 3 months because if anything I left that place in better condition then I got it. I rented a steam cleaner and cleaned the place spotless. They said they would give me 200 back but would still keep my deposit and 94 dollars for "holes in the walls" The only holes in the wall I had were 4 or 5 nail holes where I hung pictures up that could easily be covered up. They are just hungry for money because the apartments are trashy. I again fought them about the so called "holes" and they said they would refund me another 200 dollars and keep the 94 which really is 194 because they never gave me my deposit back. The reason they were going to keep it is because I only gave a 27 day notice as compared to a full 30 day notice. So if you live here and you want out make sure you give the FULL 30 day notice. After all of this I got a letter in the mail threatening to take me to collections for not paying. I called them right away because I had proof that the check had cleared and was deposited. Managment never called me back but I did recieve a letter of apology and a 5 dollar starbucks card for the misunderstanding. Poor managment can't even keep their finances straight. I wonder how many other people they weasled out of money. HORRIBLE PLACE!!

The same thing happened to me there. They billed me an additional 380.00 for "holes" in the wall from my art that I hung up. There was no real holes! And they billed me for extra dirty cleaning which was not true because I bleached that place and had it spotless. I told them that I was not paying and they said that they would take off 20% of the charges. I told them no way. They did send me to collections and I had to pay it! I was so angry with them. Also, the rodents there are terrible. My girls were so afraid to play outside because they would come up to them. Who knows what would have happened if they were bitten by one of those huge rats. The parking there is terrible. The hot tub is always broken. I would never recommend this complex to anyone unless they wanted to throw away their money and live terrible for a minimum of six months!
