Do not live here... ever!

I would like to start out by saying that unless you are over the age of 45, moving here would be a major mistake. They should just change it into a retirement center and call it good.
That aside, I have nothing but other bad things to say about this place as a whole. First, the management. It is horrible, argumentative and contrite when it comes to helping anyone with issues on many topics. The root of the matter comes down to the owners who employ friends of that family to manage the site. Now, second would be the mold and water damage present in many apartments. It is both disgusting, and for health reasons, the building should be condemned and torn down. The laundry area is so musty smelling, I swear it can make you sick. Speaking of the laundry center, the damn washers and dryers do not do their job. And for a dollar a piece, they damn well should. What a rip off. The rent is already too high in these places, so they decided to stick it to the renter by charging so much for the facilities that should be way cheaper, and they do not even work.
Parking is atrocious, and if you park you car in the underground parking, its not safe, like it should be. They had 3 break ins when I lived there alone. So parking on the street is an option, but you have to walk at least 4 blocks if you get home anywhere after 5 pm, like most people. I know, this is a fact of life living downtown, but it is just not an organized area around the building.
Overall, if you are going to choose to live downtown Portland, there are many other places to choose that are so much better.
