I have lived at The St. Clair for a year now and still love this place like the day i Moved in. During the time I've been here I have had a couple of maintenance issues that were repaired promptly with no problems at all. The laundry facilities aren't the best, but they work well and there is always a washer and dryer available. Parking is fantastic, four floors, three of which are secured the 4th is outside and much cheaper than then i indoor ones. The staff is very friendly and most of them live on site so they truly care about community issues. This building is also VERY pet friendly as I have two cats and a dog. There is always doggie treats and a clean water dish in the lobby which my dog loves as i'm sure the others do too.
The apartments are almost totally soundproof since the building is all concrete. However if your upstairs neighbor has hardwood floors, which some units still do, you will hear them, but it's not that bad most apartment dwellers are all to used to it. The building is as secure as you could hope it would be (fob access only). Not to say that it's impossible you get in without a your fob, if someone lets you in or an entry door doesn't close all the way and that could happen anywhere.
The roof top deck was just completed this summer and it is awesome! There's plenty of chairs and a gas grill for everyone to use. Over all I would have to say you can't this place for the money and location. I certainly don't plan on moving anytime soon!
