Great place-but management is slowly sucking the life out of it

My husband and I love this place.
It is a great place, but with some very large flaws that make you very angry. Number 1, it is basically a retirement home, and the management caters to the old people to the point of disgust. What is even sicker about their incessant catering to the old people is that the old people do not pay anything near what the new comers pay.
Number 2, they say they are pet friendly...but really they are pet friendly as long as your pet is never seen by anyone. Our dog is 7 lbs, she is older and quiet. She never barks, but yet we were not allowed to adopt another dog....even thought there are many other dogs in the building ranging from small to very large, from puppy to very old....but people who don't ask permission to adopt dogs are never reprimanded.
Number 3, they are continuously changing the rules and making them stricter. Today everyone in the building received a letter 3 pages long with updated rules and policies. Most of which are applied to the younger generations (who bring in all the money to the community-because the rents are much higher).
Number 4, the management continues to raise rates all the time and change things. Be careful if you sign a lease here, thinking this is a great place, because most likely what made you want to live here will be changed.
We really loved this place and wanted to stay here for a very long time, but personally we are sick of all the bull that goes on. They do not run this place the way the advertise or make you think and it just keeps getting worse.
Not to mention that maintenance never seems to fix anything right, so you have to call them up multiple times a month.
Unless you are so laid back that you don't care when someone continuously takes advantage of you and changes the terms of a contract-you will be pissed if you stay here to long.
