I lived in Altamont Summit and couldn't wait to move out. This site has been set up to educate those who do not know what's in store for them. Obviously, people living in apartments expect a certain amount of noise. It happens when people live in such close quarters. However, there is such a thing as excessive noise. It's my right to want low noise as it's your right to make noise.
Just an FYI to those of you who want an out. After living at Altamont I started adding clauses into my lease (with approval from the new complex) that if I have to call and complain about the noise 3 times, I have the right to move out without losing my deposit or breaking my lease. I need it quiet. I suffer from severe migraines and the pounding of music will cause me to go to the hospital. Should I be punished because I can't afford a house'
Let me reiterate, I have a right to quiet. The only way I achieve quiet is to go to sites like this to find out if there is a history of complaints. I think your comments are extremely uneducated and ignorant. Respect those who live around you and quit being so damn me me me focused (this goes both ways...patience for those who are loud and understanding for those who want it quiet).
