Like most people i walked through various floor plans numerous times. At first the staff were so anxious to help me with whatever i needed. After the first two weeks that all ichanged. My car got broken into (kind of retarded since there was nothing in my car and they stole a cd player, funny i still have the detachable face.), when i asked the apartment managers, they said they have never heard of anyone's car getting broken into. My apartmeny was nice in the summer, air conditioning and all. I was also annoyed when i would walk onto my patio and find trash and garbage everywhere. I took two shopping bags full of trash that i collected over about 4 days into the office and they said they would say something to the surrounding tenants. If they did it didnt make a difference, a month later i went in there and asked that they say something again. Also being on the ground level, i hear a lot of the traffic from cars, there are also garages right across from out bedroom window. I find it kind of trashy to wke up at 2:30 in the morning to find people drag racing, and yes this has happened, and smoking pot to the point that i can smell it across the parking lot. And dont even get me started on parking there have been numerous occasions when i have had to park across the street, in front of someones lovely house and walk to the back of the complex. My mirror has been knocked off my car and my boyfriend has had his knocked off twice. We both drive compact cars. Also, we were talking to someone who moved i near us and they were given a garage, they said it was a move in special, special my ass. Are they trying to bribe people to move in here' I asked them how much a garage would be and they offered me one for 75 dollars that was on the opposite side of the complex. I'm sorry, but thats not my idea of convenient. The walls are thin, i can hear my upstairs doing things you wouldnt want to know about. I asked them to replace some light bulbs and it has been 4 months now. There is also a hole on the side of my bathtub. There are many lightbulbs around the property that are burnt out. Being a female it is very unnerving to walk in the dark late at night. All i have to say is that this place is not worth the money. Avoid Altamont Summit Apartments. I cant wait to bmove out, i would break my lease, but the cost is out of my price range.
