I lived here for 7 months. I had a great move in experience, and my neighbors were quiet. The parking is horrible, but I'm a professional and work a lot, so I rarely had visitors. I had a leakage problem with the dishwasher, which took three days to fix (due to a 3 day holiday weekend),and the water went all over the hallway carpet. It got fixed. Everything went well....until I moved out. They charged me to replace all the carpet (remember the leak' Apparently faulty plumbing is the TENANTS problem). I do have a dog, and he did urinate on the area where the leak was (because it smelled like dirt), but only a couple of times because I steamed cleaned it to get out the smell. Apparently it wasn't cleaned to "new" status, so it ALL had to be replaced. Go figure.
I wouldn't recommend moving here if you have pets, kids, or walk outside at all. There are other reviews that talk about carpet. I didn't listen. Luckily, I work in a profession that has many people moving here and inquiring about the area. I've already steered 2 customers, 2 co-workers, and a co-worker's family away from renting here...and will continue to do so. Move to Lake O. if you want luxury. Its further away, but an infinitely better choice.
Oh yeah, this is the 4th apartment I lived in with my dog...I had no problems with the other 3. Maybe Altamont should find a more competent carpet cleaning company.
