Okay, I have not LIVED here. I lived in the estates next to these apartments. I also had a friend living here. I'm going to talk about the area. It says Portland. However, these apartments are not in the city of Portland, they are located in an uppermiddleclass suburbs of Portland. It's about a 15-20 minute drive to downtown. Middle schoolers in these apartments attend Stoller Middle School, which is viewed by many students as the more snobby of middle schools in the area. This school is extremely safe, hence the nickname "Stroller", and very academic. There is a shopping area with a grocery store, blockbuster video, starbucks coffee, subway, godfather's pizza, a chocolate shop, a bank, a few independant restaurants, a police station, a vet's office, an upscale hair salon "tres bon", a Great Clips for those who can't afford "tres bon", a Hallmarks, a dentist, an clean, safe outdoor fountain for small children to play in when it's hot, and a few churches WITHIN A 5 MINUTE WALKING DISTANCE. Not only that, but there is a bus stop right on the corner of the apartment complex which connects to many local suburban "hotspots" around the greater portland area. It also can connect to Sunset Transit Station, where one can take the MAX train to downtown Portland. This place is great for people without cars. I, as a 16 year old girl, know that the public transportation is extremely safe if used between 5am and 9pm, even to downtown Portland. About safety. There is little or no violence in this area. Teenagers, children, and senior citizens frequently take walks around the area. There may be the occasional threat of violence within a family, but so far there has been none. I would definetly, definetly recommend Bethany Meadows to anyone. If you want to be somewhere safe, or where you can raise children, this is where you should be. Outstanding schools, uppermiddleclass area with the sourounding house price ranges from 200K-400K, you definetly would want to go here. i hope my review is helpful. I recently moved away from Oregon, but would like to say that this has to be the most beautiful area in the state. And this state has to be one of the most beautiful in the country. You may not realize it now... and you may be picky about your apartment. But don't. And don't take your opportunities for granted. I can gaurantee you will love this area. This is where I grew up and it has to be one of the best areas in the state.
