I would advise anyone considering this area to stay as far away from this property as possible!
The apt manager will lie, cheat, and steal to get you in and then will forget who you are within a 24 hour period of getting your money.

The maintence and apt complex in general is in the worst shape I have ever seen. The carpets are stained, water leaks in windows and in bathrooms, washer and dryer in poor running condition,dishwasher will not clean or santize dishes, window shades are not properly in stalled as well as bathroom moldings,apt are not professionally cleaned when you move in and if you are allergic DO NOT TRUST that there have NOT been pets in the apt. Windows leak, gutters are not properly cleaned and the over flow of water will leak in the windows, you can ask for maintence to come and fix your broken (whatever, insert broken item here) and you will be told that you were the one that broke it and will have to repair yourself. MOLD through out whole apt. It grows fast in window areas and in corners of walls. You are told that YOU must take care of this, this in NOT thier problem.

The landings on porches on upper floors and balconys are not safe, they hold all rain water year round. The wood is molding (that you can clearly see on the stairs and underneath, wood is soft on landings and stair case shakes (very weak in spots, there have been sprained ankles and falls due to the lack of care of these stair cases. Doors that you hope will keep people out are broken and cracked. Air flows through door due to gaps and not being hung properly.

There is NO noise control! If you want to rest at any time, day or night, you will have to deal with the noise, be it music, talking, sex, fighting, peoples kids running up and down stair cases, these places are not insulated! The heat bill is outragous in the winter and still ridiculous in the summer. You are not allowed to put a window air conditionar in the window of choice, if they agree for you to EVEN have one it is under their descretion.

The garbages are not picked up often enough, they over flow, garbage is everwhere in parking lot and through out complex. It smells and is unsanitary.

The swimming pool is not kept up to code. The hot tub is kept under normal heating for a hot tub, neither the pool or hot tub are kept up in any way shape or form. The chemicals are kept below regulations due to cost and is NOT heated as they will state to you it is! They will fill it up with a garden hose and leave it. It is not swept or bathrooms cleaned so if anyone should have to use the restroom, you will need to go back to your own apt to do so...most kids will spend hours there with out using the bathroom..Where do you think they are going' The chemicals are not kept to spect to save money...any one of the maintence men will tell you that honestly. They fear for the disease that might be caught due to being told to maintain the pool and hot tub this way.

Oh, and staff is let go weekly. I have seen two complete teams from management maintence to regular maintence men be replaced. Staff turn over is horrible, in the office (which right now they are using temps from a temp service so you must be careful who you give your rent too, it could mysteriously disappear and it will be your fault, maitence has not been able to keep the same person for more then a week or two, AND if they make it for that long without getting fired, they don't know any English so they can't understand what you might need fixed anyways.


I am unfortantly in a lease and will be waiting it out but wanted to fore warn those that like the area to stay away from this hell hole.

Seriously, I think that the people that are rating these apartments this way must have some serious issues. I have never had a mold problem, if I have a repair that is needed it is very prompt. I am guessing that those that have an issue with mold don't clean or take care of your place from the inside. We do live in Oregon and it does rain here. Mold does happen and it is important to clean your windows and THE REST OF YOUR HOUSE on a regular basis. This is a great complex, unfortunatley you do have some bad seeds that live here and I am guessing it is the person that posted this that should be included in that group. Staff is friendly and the noise level is low. That is the first thing I noticed when I moved in here is how well insulated the apartments are and that you can't even hear the cars go by. Try closing your windows if it is too loud..

Thank you so much for your response. I try to have as little or no contact with the office, in fact I will pay months in advance to avoid their rude, degrading, unprofessional behavior. I was told about the attic by a maintence man shortly after moving in and had someone look into it which has been noted by the appropraite people. Govenment Cash Cow was very well said, however, they will do a full on investigation of the property and staff by an outside source if enough complaints are filed in a certain amount of time, I believe that has now been met and actions will be taken against them. I normally would not press issues but I am quiet, clean and know that this is a temp living condition for me but some of the other people here have been here for years. They are not in a position to move out of these conditions which only seem to be getting worse. My heartaches for those that might have to conitue to live here. I think if it only opens one, right persons eye, then just maybe things might change for the residences that are unfortantly long term here.

Miss._M is most likely on the staff and is trying to rebuke the reality of the state of the apartment complex. Being a former tenant myself, all I can say is the complaints are true. Some of the apartments on the ground floor fill with mud and water during the raining season and you apartment fills with cigarette smoke from the neighbor???s apartment underneath or next door. If you live on the top floor you can crawl through the attic and access any of the other apartments on the top floor, which has happened. Where is that firewall? sounds unsafe in any condition. The staff do not run the office with any efficiency what so ever and are outwardly hostile to anyone that can see their tyrannical methods of "management", buyer beware. To top it all off, GSL (parent company) could not care less, it is a government paid cash cow. You should not only avoid Bethany meadows, you should run as if you life depended on it, it just may.
