Buckman Heights was a great apartment at first. A little pricey but a nice place. In about September of 2004 Summit Managment took over the building and then things got bad. First of all, when I moved into another apartment (my 3rd there) they lost my deposit. After supplying them with bank records they still have not gotten my deposit back to me. Never once in the five months I have been dealing with them so far have they called me about my deposit.
Also the maintenance is lacking; when I had the apartment number taken from my apartment it took them over 3 months to get another one for me.
Also when I signed the most recent lease on my apartment they had to re-approve me on the place. Everytime I would bring them some information they would say it was all I needed and then call me the next day and say they needed more; to make this all worse they kept rushing me saying "you have to get this to us ASAP".
Managment also has a problem with being there. It is common for nobody to be there on a saturday during normal business hours. I canot even count the amount of times that I needed something done and nobody was in the office to help me during business hours.
As long as I have been living in Portland I have been at Buckman heights, after these issues though I will move out when my lease is up. I recommend that you dont move here.
