I have lived at Buckman for three years. Lots of changes...for the worse I'm afraid. The biggest ongoing issue is the fact that there is NO AIR CONDITIONING-NOT EVEN A CEILING FAN in the living room...my apt is an oven until 10 pm at night in the summer months. They don't allow window units, instead you must buy your own portable AC unit-about $500!!!!!! The latest management(Summit) staff spend the day sitting at their desks....total lazy ass attitude- in fact so damn lazy they don't check the laundry rooms for damaged/broken machines nor do they check for always empty coin changing machine....Dog pee and poop stains on the stairwell carpets and floor hallways...when are they going to clean these carpets''''''
They do take animals which is great, but they do not address the mud hole in back of the building, so you cannot walk along the back of the building to enter if you park in the large parking lot next to the building.
Safety is an issue...my car has been vandelized 2 times....they need to admit to renters that there is a safety issue. One of the biggest problems is the constant flow of people coming and going through the "secured" entry...this is a joke -tenants let anyone in and that is a problem with Summit not reminding people to not let anyone in who is standing at the entry...Also, smokers roam the halls leaving the halls stinking with cigarette smoke.
