Unresponsive, horrible management

The management at Buckman Terrace (Summit Real Estate Management) does not respond to resident concerns and complaints. Our bikes were recently vandalized (inside of a "secure" bike room in the garage), and we reported the incident to the front office. They took our information and said they would get back to us the next day. Ten days later (after leaving for the holidays) noone had responded to us. We reported it again and were given an "I'll look into it" reply. Calls to higher management led to no resolution of the incident, and management was unwilling to look at security tapes or post notices in the building. Management has also increased their pet fees multiple times in the past three months and has not notified the residents of the changes. We inquired with the manager two weeks ago about pet fees and were told one figure and then after having agreed to adopt a dog were told that the management has instituted a $25 pet rent each month and doubled the amount of the unrefundable pet fee. After calls to the "customer service" person at Summit Real Estate, the issue could not be resolved. The turnover of apartment managers is incredibly high. In 3 months the building has had at least 3 managers. The managers do not know about building specifics and are poorly trained. The building itself is nice enough, but it is not worth the price or the hassle to deal with management.
