To start off..I was never officially a tenant at this complex. However, my boyfriend at the time was. And, for a good two years..I spent 4 out of 7 days at his place. Even living there with him for about 2months while I prepared to move into my own apartment.

When he and his roomate first moved in. The complex was managed by another company. That was NOT princeton. The grounds were kept up nice, the staff was polite and friendly, the grounds were fairly quiet, the pet policy was kept in check, and maybe the lack of parking the only problem.

However about 8months into their lease. Management changed completely. The new staff were totally oblivious to anything. Their main priority seemed to be just packing residents in and nothing else. I remember going up to the pool..during the summer and before the managment would chase out any un attended children or rowdy kids whom were disturbing others. Fast forward to the next summer where the pool was overun with kids WITHOUT adults, and people eating in the pool and leaving their trash all about. I knew it was bad when I was able to go up to the pool by myself with my girlfriend and swim all day...without any question of the management. Yeah, how safe as a tenant would YOU feel if people who aren't even tenants can access your property'' And, yeah the only reason I did it, is because I knew they just didn't care. Doesn't make it right..but still....point made.

As soon as the managment changed..a lot of YOUNG people started moving into the units. Not that I have a problem with young people. I was young myself (22) however, all these people wanted to do was stand on balcony's yelling..drunk...or let their pitbulls run around without leashes or collars. I remember one summer afternoon..I was cleaning the apartment..I went into the laundry area to get a scrub brush and all of the sudden our cat was on the washer all fluffed up. I didn't think anything of it really..and walked back into the living room. Where I ran into a growling pit bull. STANDING in the living room. Yes, I'd had the backdoor on the patio cracked because it was so nice outside...but I didn't expect that the neighbors dog would just walk in and chase my cat. I didn't have my phone on me right then..so I grabbed the broom and ran at the door and yelled. The dog growled then ran out the way it came in. I called animal control. But, I don't know if anything ever happened. And, when the management was notified they seemed not to care.

Infact there was little they cared about.

I've never been so happy as the day I left and was finally able to move into my place. My boyfriend though..stayed on for the rest of his lease with his roomate.

About two months before they moved out however..the water heater broke. It saturated the carpet and when the maintenace was informed they did little hustle down and get it fixed or cleaned. Infact..my boyfriend borrowed a heavy duty carpet cleaner and fan from my father to clean the mess up themselves. Of course there was still a dark stain from where the water had soaked into the mats under the carpeting.

When his lease was up my boyfriend moved in with me for the time being. He stayed with me for about 4 months before finally starting to look for his own place(my lease was coming up and he knew he had to be out) however...when he started putting in applications..he was rejected. APPARENTLY the apartment complex had billed he and his roomate for the floor damage caused by the water heater breaking. The shady bit about it was..the apartment complex never sent him any notification or even called to tell him about it. They just put it on his record and left it alone.

He ended up paying a total of $600 some dollars to make amends and get it off of his record(his ex roomate ditched on paying any of it..but that's another story).

When the subject of the billing for the water heater damage first came up. Every apartment complex he spoke with told him he should contact the better buisness bureau and to contact housing or whatever you call it. It's shady, underhanded and against the law since a water heater and it's damage is something the complex is supposed to pay for.

Anyway..as I said..i was never offically a tenant here. But this apartment complex is horrible. Unless they've done some serious changes in the last year..I wouldn't even bother looking there.

First of all she was not even a resident. However, thanks to the info she provided the resident she is talking about has been made apparent. The new management was brought in to fix many problems the complex had. The past management often did not screen residents and/or moved in residents with recommendations from the screener to not move them in. There were approximately 17 vacant apartments that had been empty for months. So as the reviewer stated "their main priority seemed to be just packing residents in" well thats why the owner of the property cleared out its previous management. Owning and/or managing an apartment complex is a business. Vacant apartments don't pay the thousands of dollars of upkeep needed for a large community. Next, her issue with the pool. Non residents are asked to vacate the pool (which is very popular in the summer) when they don't know anyone on the property. The poster of this review had been seen with her boyfriend at the pool thus making her a "guest" at the pool. Residents are allowed to have guests at the pool. As far as "young people at the pool" there is an age limit policy kept in check. Children must be supervised by an adult. And the fact that there are more "young people" means that since the new management took over, more families have moved in which is wonderful for the community. There is a relatively new elementary school just up Bull Mountain Road that is state of the art , Alberta Rider is the name of it and it is a wonderful school. As far as safety goes just check with renter insurance or the local police. Renters insurance gives Bull Mountain one of the highest ratings in safety if not the highest in the area. This is a pet friendly community, dogs and cats are allowed, however there are breed restrictions and leash restrictions. Pitbulls are definitely not allowed and I've never seen one on the property. Anyway to sum this review up, the last issue regarding the charges the RESIDENT incurred was not due to the carpet as the NON RESIDENT stated. The resident apparently neglected to tell his girlfriend that he and his roommate had an unpaid water and sewer bill in excess of $500.00 dollars. Bills do need to get paid if you want a good rental reference. Please be your own judge when it comes to Bull Mountain Heights . It is a premier community and has been previously voted the number one community in Tigard. Since the new management took over.

Yeah right! I lived there too, and I had way too many problems. I have never had a single complaint, or even had to make a complaint in other complexes, and here there were a lot of problems. I should have read this before I decided to put money into this place. It is so awful, and management are never even there. They leave about four times a day, never return your calls, let alone answer them, and let their children come to work with them when they don't even live on site. I even had the police come to talk to them about a SERIOUS problem, and still, nothing was done. Awful place to live.
