Neighborhood seems to be nice, and the apartment looks ok. In fact, there are lots of problems that you can not see at first sight. The apartment is too old. The so called remodeling was only cosmetic work, and did not solve any intrinsic problem at all. The heaters were poorly designed and very inefficient (especially upstairs). You will have a cold winter with high electricity bills. You summers won t be good either because the windows are horrible. I have been living here for months, some of the windows still could not be opened (sounds unbelievable). The sound insulation is so bad that you can hear you next door s normal talk. You can also hear anybody talk from anywhere inside the apartment (even with doors closed). The worst part is the manger is sneaky and not honest. Get you in first and later find excused to avoid fixing problems if it costs money. Bottom line, if you are lucky to move in a problem-free unit, you are fine. Otherwise, you will have very unhappy experience.
