Moving Out

So, the entry before this one is also mine, but I wrote it before I moved out. You know, when I moved out of Clackamas Village, I felt like I was breaking up with a boyfriend. Seriously. Once you give them your 30 day notice and things start getting down to the wire, they treat you TOTALLY different. It's sad.
When I moved out, the office staff had left early that day (convienently) for a company picnic. So, I left my keys and a note in the drop box requesting a phone call when they got in just to let me know they had gotten them. So, this was a Saturday and I called Sunday, couldnt talk to the manager because she was "busy". Left a message to call me ASAP. Didnt hear from her Monday so I called Tuesday. Again, she was "busy" once I said who I was. Wednesday, same story. Finally on THURSDAY I got to speak to her. She was the rudest person on the phone and her and I had always gotten along really well.
So, by law they have 30 days to get your refunded deposit money to you. The manager told me they were really quick about it and people usually got them within 2 weeks. Hmm, not me. 28 days is what it took to get mine. Now let's talk about how much it was. My initial deposit was $550. I left that apartment so incredibly clean so that I would get most of my money back. I felt it was cleaner when I left than whenI moved it. Hmm, yeah, I got $248 back. LUDACRIS!!! They said that someone had to come in a clean it because it was so bad. $100 for that.
Also, their windows have a mold problem. My bedroom windows had so much moisture on them and there was black mold all over the seels. The insulation stinks in the apartments. It gets so cold so quickly in the winter. It's sad.
I guess the moral of the story is, no matter how well you think you know someone, you don't. And they'll do anything to screw you over. It's sad that before I moved out I did nothing but talk good about this property. Now, I don't have anything good to say.
