Tell me about it......same exact thing happened to me as the previous comment...in fact it sounds like you may be in my same apartment.....a constant weed scented breeze and MOLD GALORE!!..... Regardless, I put up with it..... untill I came home one day to a note on my door that I would immediately be evicted if I did not stop having noisy people in and out at all times, and stop the loud music in the middle of the night...... What'' First of all, not only did I never have people over, I don't even own a stereo, or anything that could play music at a high level (although if I ever wanted to listen to music, all I had to do was open my front door). I didn't have people over for a reason...... all of my friends REFUSED to come over because the ONE time I had a friend over their car was stolen and completely stripped, soon after this happened my own car was broken into twice with several school books being stolen first, then several pieces of mail and a duffel bag full of clothes the second time (which I informed management about each time, they didn't even have the decency to notify other residents of the theft), after that, they just stole the whole dang car. Did the management show any concern at all''' Absolutely not, they acted like that's what I get for living in a "bad area"...... they sure didn't let me know it was such a "bad area" when I was signing a lease! All this and they refused to hire security more than 3 days a week....... according to the manager "security guards don't work"......I guess it's just a coincidence that every-time I had an incident the security guard conveniently wasn't working. They made it widely known that security was on Mon., Wed., Fri. .....hmmmm...... that makes it pretty risky to steal a car on Thursday doesn't it' And, on top of that, they have the nerve to threaten me with eviction over an alleged noise complaint' They don't even BOTHER to ask ME about it first'' Not that they don't have more important things to worry about like drugs and violence. The manager even tried to justify to me that she had addressed my "eviction threat" letter with my first and last name in order to "make it more personal because she cared". Excuse me''' Since when is DIRECTLY accusing a person of something you have absolutely no evidence of "being more personal'" For as many times as I had to call the police while I lived there, one would think that before they made a frivolous accusation against one of their best tenants, they would at least have a police report to back them up' NOPE...... for how horribly loud and disruptive I was accused of being I don't understand why said tenant didn't bother to call the police' Actually to this day I'm not even totally sure whether someone actually made a complaint against me, or whether the complex just didn't want me to renew my lease because they could get much more per month from a state assisted person, I even happened to talk to a neighbor who said she was paying 700, for the same apartment I was paying 550 for........ hmmmm......... Amazingly this isn't even everything!! I literally had maintenance walk right into my apartment THREE TIMES WHILE I was IN THE SHOWER. Supposedly this was a because one of the pipes from my shower was leaking through the ceiling.......I highly doubt a Small leak justifies entering someone's home without any consent, especially when there shower is obviously on......... and 3 times''' Are you kidding' And, for all the flack I got over nothing, they sure turned a blind eye to the rampant drug activity going on throughout the complex........ maybe this place would benefit from hiring management who are actually Educated....... or at least grown up....... Please, even if you are getting state assistance, this place is not worth a penny of you or the states money.... they should pay you to live there. I don't care how impoverished a person is, you don't deserve to be taken advantage of or live in the conditions that are accepted as "normal". THAT FILTH isn't normal, and I have definitely learned how bad it really was now that I have moved to a respectable residence.
