Considering the lack of recreational facilities here that's dirty . . really.
Tell everyone you know that is thinking about moving to an apartment to avoid this place like the bubonic plague!

Having lived there for the better part of ten years, I can honestly say I've never experienced more problems in any house or apartment I've lived at any other time in my life. Management has changed at least five times that I can remember, and each time it gets worse. Even if they weren't issuing evictions, I would suggest that everyone stay as far from this place as possible. Just last year they issued a warning that any cat outside without a leash would be caught and taken to an animal shelter, and set out "humane" traps for that purpose, and the year before that the Washington County PD had a mobile police unit stationed inside of the apartment complex, patrolling the grounds because the rate of theft and violent crime was getting so bad they felt the need for a constant presence on the premises. I'd also like to add that according to the Washington County DHS website, as of May 30th of this year CMC was still supposed to be providing low income housing in the majority of its units, and was receiving funds from the local government for that purpose. One has to wonder, then, how they can possibly be legally evicting so many of their low-income tenants, and advertising the new one-bedroom newly-renovated apartments at the incredible rate of $700/month. They are also still advertising amenities that they haven't offered in years, such as the indoor swimming pool that has been cemented over, the rec room and gym/sauna that hasn't been operational in a number of years, and the tennis court that's always locked. Also, they don't offer anything but cold water for use in the laundry rooms, and the pools open late and close early every season. The grounds are unkept and allowed to turn brown and the playground is rusting and falling apart, and you can only mail out from CMC by placing your letters in a wicker basket in the middle of the lobby, which seems both impractical and unsafe to me given that there is rarely anyone in the office to ensure that no one is stealing or tampering with mail. All in all, I'd say, best bet is to stay away. There are plenty of apartments available in the area at a comparable rate where the management actually cares. Or, at least, won't go out of its way to deceive and cause harm to its tenants and their lives. I tell you, it's not easy to come up with moving money, find a place, and move your family and your belongings within that thirty-day window they so graciously give you.
