so far, living at deveraux glen has been great. from the first tour i took with sarah i have had nothing but excellent experiences.

each time i had a question it was answered thoroughly. whether it was: can i paint the walls (yes, in LOVELY approved colours) to what are those white discs on the ceiling (mounts for ceiling fans, which i can buy and have maintenance install) it was always answered to my satisfaction.

i enjoy the landscaping in the areas that are completed thus-far. there is a nice variety of trees, shrubs and perennials from area to area. the trees are still young, of course, but they're quite strategically placed.

there are also a lot of little things i like: the garbage facilities have recycling areas, there's a trail head nearby, the windows are huge and let in plenty of natural light... i could go on and on about how happy i am living here.

perhaps the best thing is how quiet my apartment is. the night i moved in, the people right next door were having an enthusiastic birthday party. and while i knew the stereo was on and fairly loud (from what i'd heard outside) i couldn't hear it at all from the master bedroom. so they partied and i slept peacefully. this is the first apartment i could say that about.

i'm quite happy here and will likely stay for a good, long while.
