NO parking...unless you enjoy parking 5 minutes away from you apartment. Although, it can make for a nice walk, unless you have to carry something (like groceries!!). I hope you are young, in good shape, and willing to walk rain or shine.
You hear road noise or construction ALL the time...not bad if you don't mind not being able to hear yourself think!
There is a gym, but the equipment is not in the best shape and not maintained well. It LOOKS great, but often doesn't ACTUALLY work. There is a water tank, but it is often empty, one treadmill is often not working, they don't even make sure the disinfectant bottles are full so we can clean up after ourselves.
The pool area is beautiful...can be tough to find a seat, but that is just the way it is.
Did I mention NO parking? This will get worse with more people moving in. People are parking in red zones and fill the office parking lot everyday. Just sell your car now and buy a bike.
Take a walk and look at the "older" buildings that are being lived in, they are already starting to wear down.
You hear your neighbor's conversations, cupboards closing and washer running.
You pay for a carport, and hope someone doesn't take it because they didn't want to walk 1/2 mile home. Parking scores a 1 star because you can't give zero or a negative number.
They clean the grounds, but they don't clean anything above the first floor. The longer you live here the worse it gets.
The location is GREAT. Close to stores, gym, and max. Since there is no parking, you will be parking at max or the store anyway. At least it makes it easy to shop or ride public transportation, and you will be working out at Bally's (since the gym is broken down already) it works out well. (The gym will just get worse too!!)
If you like to be hot in the summer and pay a bunch to heat your place it the winter (because insulation is poor) this is the spot!
Looks (and a lying sales staff) can be deceiving... Staff is improving, but that wont help you park!
I really hate to sound so negative, but when you come home from a long day and can't find a place to park it sucks! Then, to blow off some steam you head to the gym and can't work out because things are broken or being used. You decide to grab a cup of water, but it is empty and you can clean the machine before or after you use it. Frustrated you leave, head back to you apartment where you listen to your neighbors chatting and write a rent check for $1200. No matter how a person looks at it, this is a frustrating situation.
If you want to pay $1000 plus a month to live in hell Deveraux Glen is the place for you! Welcome!
