I had a car for one day without a parking permit and in the middle of that night it was towed away by a company they're authorized to prey on visitors to the apartments!
Car towed at 3:45AM wihtout any attempt at warning and retrieved the next day was $320! We're not talking about Portland City Center here. Management is unreachable when not on site which is 3 days a week. Maintenance is also out-sourced and doesn't schedule appointments - just be there when they're ready.

You are greatly mistaken. 1st there are parking signs all over the property saying you need a permit to park in the parking lot. It is even market at all entrances across the entire driveway! 2nd the office is open 7 days a week. You never need to make an appointment to go in and talk to them. 3rd Maintenance is not out sourced. They have there own maintenance team who is also there 7 days a week. There is even a maintenance hotline for residents to call to for emergencies. You can schedule an appointment with them or just give them permission to enter your home. 4th There is always someone to talk to, after hours you can call the onsite patrol. You should get your facts right before posting.

Indeed, parking is a pain at Deveraux, however you can pay a little extra for an assigned carport or just make the best of it and get a little extra exercise. As the other commenter to this post indicated, there are plenty of signs indicating that parking is by permit only...unfortunately ignorance is not an excuse for getting towed. Finally, I've lived here for over 2 years and the maintenance staff and hotline have always been excellent and quick to respond. Every apt complex has issues and Deveraux is not different, but this poster is clearly pretty far off with their assessment.
