Read on... I'm kinda thorough

My wife and I researched this area thoroughly before moving in. The apartments near Easton Ridge are a nightmare. Easton Ridge, on the other hand, is like paradise. The office is always open to use the workout facilities, and racketball court, as well as the laundry room (with a pop machine, saves me from having to drive two blocks to the store) and there are even books you can borrow. The pool and hot tub have reasonable hours, and are well maintained. The manager is not arrogant, she's an absolute doll! I've managed apartments before, and this place is run right. The maintenance people are friendly and competent. The grounds are gorgeous, with two duck ponds in the center. The asphalt doesn't look like an earthquake mauled it (laugh, but I've lived in a complex where speeds in excess of 5 mph would decimate your car). There is key card only access to the parking lot. The same keycard opens the laundry room door, and admits access to the pool area. They offer lease deals, and referral bonuses. They welcome pets. The complex is quiet almost all the time. The bathrooms have those cool heat lamps (a favorite of mine...). There are washer dryer hookups. Ooooh, and get this! Hanging blinds on all windows and the patio/ balcony doors. Mini blinds suck! These guys shelled out extra and it shows. The apartments have security systems installed, and they hook them up for free, as well as panic buttons in both bedrooms. The water pressure in the bathroom is impressive (my last apartment...trickle trickle trickle nuff said). The kitchens are small but well laid out, and have a dishwasher (the last place had a dishwasher, but she'd be pissed if she heard me call her that!) The apartment isn't huge, but it's very nice inside. We're close to everything here. You can buy just about anything within walking distance. Clackamas Town Center is two blocks south. 82nd ave. has so many stores and restaraunts I wouldn't know where to begin. I205 is close. The garbage areas are easily accessible, and seem to be emptied frequently enough that they don't pile up. Ok, now that I've been abundantly positive about Easton Ridge, I feel fair in pointing out it's shortcumming. Parking. One assigned, one floating, no more than two vehicles inside the complex. This means if your wife beats you home, you get to go parking space hunting. There are still enough spots that I've never had to park on the street, and the walk from the back of the complex was like a whole sixty seconds longer than if I'd parked right in front of my door. Guests have to park on the street. Overnight guests risk vandalism out on the street, since the proximity to the Watermark invites less than savory individuals to park adjacent to our little paradice. The Watermark has the highest incidents of 911 calls in the area. We were going to move in there because they offered a $99 move in and two months free rent. Further research (I called the Police myself about the 911 calls after a tip from a friend that does security and private investigation) showed us that among the car jackings and breaking and entering problems, there have been rapes as well. Ironically, Easton Ridge seems to be immune to this. The rent is reasonable. I like it here, and plan to be here for several years. We have already reccommended Easton Ridge to a close personal friend of ours, and she's moving in next month!
