I am a college graduate and work for a non-profit in Downtown, Portland. My husband and I have lived in this area (at the Clackamas Village Apartments and then at The Overlook) for the past 6 years. He is also a recent college grad and has been offered a fantastic job out of Oregon. We are relocating out of state and are happy to be leaving this filthy, spider/roach/rodent infested (I have seen all three types of pests on the property, especially in summer), cigarette butts on the stairwell, terrible management dump of a complex.

Our apartment at the Easton Ridge complex is by far the most disappointing of our last four apartments. Our rent is cheap, and you absolutely get less than what you pay for. I am writing this review because I am very upset about a recent incident involving a maintenance/construction crew entering my home at 8 AM three days in a row with only a vaguely worded "notice" (and I use the term generously here) that construction and plumbing repairs would be made during this week.

Not only am I upset at not being told directly that strange men would be entering my home at this hour, but when I went to the main office at 9am to get clarification about this, not a single employee was available. The office hours are from 9am -6pm daily, and I stood in front off the office for 15 minutes, knocking on the door, calling the office on the phone, with no luck. I finally had to go to work at 9: 15. I left two strongly worded messages and did not receive a single call back that day. I then called the office twice at 5:45pm, 15 minutes before their alleged closing time, and could not get through to anyone.

I left a third message yesterday and stated I expected a call back for the sake of professional courtesy (foreign concept to these people, aparently)but have yet to hear back.

The icing on the cake is that, after three days of construction in my home, I have come back to sand/dirt/grime on my floors, holes in my walls, my dryer disconnected and left IN THE MIDDLE OF MY BEDROOM, and general squalor. "How is this legal?" I asked myself. "It probably isn't," my reply.

Save yourself the trouble and spend an extra $30/month for an apartment in the Overlook; they are a far superior complex. This place is an absolute nightmare and I'm happy to be leaving. Also, believe every single listing you've read about this place.

I have more to add. Ive been here a number of years and everytime I go to use the Hot Tub, its only luke warm or not working at all. Part of the reason I moved in here was for the Hot Tub. When I walk all the way down to use it I end up turning around and going back to my shi-thole mad. Im leaving soon ofcourse but others should know, the Hot Tub is for looks only. Its a selling point to rent these apts. They save money by keeping the heat turned down. Also, nobody will use it so they dont have to maintain it so often either. because of the low temp and lack of chemical it is a heath risk. WARM WATER IS A BACTERIA'S PLAYGROUND! The Hot Tub here is a heath risk! Use test strips and a temp gauge and you will see for yourself. .........and people wonder why they get sick around here...
