Very decent place

Apparently the people complaining about all of these fees didn't read their rental agreement before they moved in. It clearly states that if you only live here for one year or less, you have to pay cleaning fees and pay for it to be painted. If you live here longer than that, those things are paid by the owner and considered to be part of normal wear and tear. This is not an unusual policy for an apartment building. If you don't like the rental agreement, don't move in. If you don't read it, that's your problem and not the fault of the management.
The current manager is very helpful and nice along with his assistant. They are both very friendly and kind and answer any questions you may have without talking down to you. They also keep up the grounds very well.
This is a tax credit building and has section 8 apartments along with regular, which I see as a very good thing as most section 8 people are retired or disabled. It's also a wheelchair accessible building.
There is a nice laundry room and trash/recycling room on each floor. All of the hallways are painted decent colors with a light in each doorway and there's a courtyard in the middle of the building with lots of table and nice plants that are well taken care of.
You need a key card to get into the building and even if you were to get in without one, you need one to use the elevator, which is the only way you can get to the apartments. The stairwell is locked so you can use it to get out but not to get back in.
I think it's a great place. Everything is new and up to code and tastefully decorated.
