The reason they waive your deposits is so they don't have to thoroughly clean and fix everything. Think about it: Why do apartments charge deposits (besides being greedy)' So that when things break or are dirty, they have the money to fix/clean them. Garden Home West avoids this responsibility, and all others.

Management never answers their phone. It is one person managing the whole place and she also has kids. She is never around, tells you what you want to hear when you finally find her, and then forgets/ignores it.

Garden Home West is extremely inexpensive. And you get what you pay for. If anything is wrong with your apartment that doesn't require a quick fix, better get used to it. Our carpet was infused with cat pee in EVERY room (I guess they don't think about that when they waive the pet fees) and we told the management about it EVERY week and they ignored the problem, telling us they'd move us, and then doing nothing. We lived there for three months in a cat pee smell and it was disgusting.

Management told us when we moved in there had never been a burglary, but our neighbor stole a magnet off of our car. FOUR TIMES. I guess that means there wasn't a burglary she remembers.

Lots of other things were wrong that never got fixed. Management acts like they are constantly high.

Management told us no dogs were allowed on the premises. Funny, a few doors down, our neighbor had two loud pitbulls chained up in a tiny back porch area.

Beware Garden Home West.

I dunno, I would hardly call stealing a magnet off of your car a 'burglary'. The last time I checked, actually, burglarizing included actually breaking into someone's residence -- which doesn't count as a magnet. Otherwise this review was slightly helpful, but I can tell that it needs to be taken with a grain of salt.
