Golf Creek should be an entry in the dictionary synonymous with every unpleasant thing one may think of. First of all, a three bedroom apartment is at least 1200/month, which might not seem bad at first considering its relatively short distance to Portland and Beaverton. However, the kinds of places one could find for the same price elsewhere are much nicer, which we only discovered after actually taking the time to look around more now that our lease is finally almost up.
The apartments are very poorly insulated and outdated, thus its tenants are forced to either freeze or support the Satan that is PGE by turning on the ridiculously ineffecient wall heaters. The soundproofing between apartments is also extremely inadequate. This becomes a problem primarily when other residents are loud, which is prettry much always and also when your neighbor upstairs and to the side of you decides to have live rock band practice at 3:00 AM on Sunday night/Monday morning, which can be heard with crystal clarity despite numerous walls between the two apartments.
The managament was recently replaced, although I don't know if it is for the better. Thus far the only improvement I've seen is a flower box on the side of the little mail house, which is just so great for everybody.
The balconies are mostly tiny with no storage room outside like many modern apartments usually have. There is no roof over our doorway at all, so if it's torrentially downpouring and you happen to be carrying all your groceries in from your car, you're getting wet for sure, especially when the imbeciles who installed the deadbolt in your front door managed to make turning the confounded thing a workout requiring one hand to pull the door towards you to release pressure on the deadbolt while you wrestle to actually turn the deadbolt with your other hand.
The groundskeeping seems to be more of a priority than making the inside of the apartment a desirable place to live. Only 2 of our burners work on our stove, but the lawn gets mowed all the time, go figure...
In case of snow or ice, be assured that the management will not de-ice any of the roads until it doesn't even make a difference, recklessly endangering the lives of anyone who happens to be driving on their precious access road.
I really don't have anything good to say about this place. You'll most likely be ready to leave this place quite soon after you move in unless you spend no time at home. It's worth the drive to find a either a cheaper place or a nicer place for the same price. There are some brand new apartments a couple miles west on Barnes acroos from Albertson's that are brand new and are comparable in price, so look there or anywhere other than here.

How is the office staff suppossed know or fix any thing if you don't tell them? I would hate to live with a parctially working stove and a stiff lock also, but I would actually say something instead of living in missery! Why did you wait through your entire lease to complain?

#1 - how can you expect to not get wet living somewhere that rains so much?
#2 - a flower box on the side of a mail house is probably a sign of things to come, changes take time.. a caterpillar doesn't turn into a butterfly over night.
#3 - no apartment complex has an office staff of psychic detectives.. if you have a problem with something, maybe you should um.. tell someone?
#4 - you knew there was no a/c when you moved in, I'm 100% sure they didn't tell you otherwise.
#5 - if you didn't like the price, maybe you shouldn't have signed the lease
Your review of this complex should be removed just for your ignorance of the fact that people are using this site to decide whether or not to live somewhere, all of your little problems and issues are irrelevant.. every complex is going to have problems similar to what you mention, and if you don't tell the office staff about your little issues they can't do anything about it.
I guess this just boils down to the fact that you can't please everyone, and well, you must be one of those people who can never be pleased.
