Hamilton Park is open to all the strung-out wannabes that live in the 122nd - Division area. The manager doesn't care who you are. If you can pay rent with drug money or by laying flat on your back... so be it.
The management company is not much better. They are all for the money. The poor co-owner - Jerry Parker (currently of Florida), is trying to fix the place up enough so he can sell it off to the next big sucker.
There used to be an automatic fence that would keep the trash out, they got rid of that. There used to be a fence behind the buildings so you could be somewhat "safe" while on your own patio. Now people walk through and come in to your apartment looking for "my homeboy that used to live here."
Complaints to the manager fall on deaf ears. Calls to the police are unanswered due to "too many repeated trouble calls at this address."
If you want to find a place where your belongings will be ransacked by any freak with the guts to walk through your patio door, go ahead and apply to live here.
If you smoke crack, dope, or just sell it... you'll fit right in. If you just want a place where you can turn tricks, come on over. If you're an illegal and looking for a place where no one asks any questions about the 35 "cousins" you have living with you... come on in (just bring a translator, they don't speak Spanish).
