I have lived here for almost 2 years now and I love it! I was shocked when I read the other comments. It's true the building is old but that is not a secret. I think it's really cool that my loft used to be a warehouse and that it is different than all of my neighbors. The ceilings are tall and I have a big pillar in the corner that is very unique. It's a true loft. There are several other fancy apartments around here that all look the same for way more money. For me, I will save my $1000 and love the fact that there is not another place like mine. The location can't be beat, I love walking to meet my friends for dinner and I hardly take my car anywhere anymore.
I was happy when the new management came. They are friendly and nice. You can walk into the office and talk to them anytime. It was wierd to read the comments about the manager, it makes me think maybe they never met her. She has always been friendly and forthcoming with information about the building and my apartment. The maintenance guys are also great.
There are a couple of things that I would change if I could. The parking stalls are very small, I hate moving my car for fear that I may hit another car or pole. The hallways smell kind of musty and old but are always clean of debris (it's an old building). There is only one elevator and when people are moving you better get used to the stairs.
I'm sure this building is not for everybody, but I love it and plan to stay for another couple years.
