Seriously, don't move here! Ever. First off, the first manager we had when we moved here was actually arrested for fraud, as he took many renters in without reporting them to the property manager. The next management was a really nice husband/wife duo, but they quit really soon as they seemed to be having problems convincing the property owners, who live in California somewhere, that the apartments were in bad enough condition to need money for remodeling and repair. The third set of management only lasted a year or so, and now the property has actually been sold and we have NO management, just a mysterious phone number we can call and leave messages to. The complex was built taking every shortcut possible so the units themselves are not in good condition. Perhaps these apartments would be an okay fit for nature lovers, since the place is always filled with some kind of bug. So far this building has had spider infestation, silverfish infestation, a small termite invasion which happened to be caught early on, and currently we are enjoying a colony of ants living in the walls. In my unit one window has no bug screen, and another has a bug screen that isn't properly installed, which I'm sure is not completely unrelated to the insect problems.
Our bathroom has been a major source of woe. First off, the ceiling of our bathroom rotted through completely because of a roof leak. Our manager took out the entire ceiling, stapled up some plastic wrap and continued to promptly give us the run-around for about five and a half months while we learned to shower at the YMCA. Finally, our ceiling was replaced, but the hot water started leaking. The manager kept "fixing" it in ways that didn't work until finally we convinced him that yes, the entire system needed to be replaced.
This place may seem charming and the empty units look clean and functioning but do not be fooled. Also, depending on the location of your unit, you may either enjoy the sounds of the highway at all hours or the sounds of the incessantly barking dogs that live in the backyards of the neighboring residential area. The barking has been bad enough to warrant legal action in the past. There is laundry, but it is coin-op and frankly a little creepy in there. Good things: there is parking and I can't recall any violent crime in the neighborhood.

Hello fellow tenant. Thanks for your comment as my original review was clearly misleading in that aspect. I think what I meant to say is that we are currently sans on-site management, as Capital Property Management Services is only reachable by telephone voice mail.

Hello. I am a fellow tenant of Ivy Tree. While I agree with some of your comments, just an fyi: IVY TREE is under Capital Property Management Services(Yes-it is "corporate") They have a web-site if you are interested. With the economy the way it is now & will be for quite some time, I find Ivy Tree very acceptable. Anonymous
