I've lived at the Jeanne Manor for a year; although I am moving out due to rent increase.

Positives:
Attractive, well-kept building with some quirky historical features
Nice manager
Can't beat the location (close to movie theaters, coffee shops, waterfront park, farmer's market, and streetcar)
Quiet, safe neighborhood
1 block from the Safeway
They take care of maintenance issues quickly
Good laundry room and bike storage
Enormous amounts of closet space in the apartments

Negatives:
No parking (although evenings and Sundays are free on the street)
You'll have noise issues if you have someone noisy living above you or if you live in a unit that faces the interior courtyard
Water gets turned off frequently for repairs, but only during the day when everyone is at work/school
There is an additional fixed charge for utilities added to the quoted rent price ($75-$80)
No dishwasher or garbage disposal
The radiators tend to make some noise

Be sure to visit the Energy Bar cafe on the corner. Great place with a great owner and outstanding, fresh made food and coffee.
