Great building- not for students.

I've lived here for over a year and in terms of the apartment itself, I've loved every aspect of it. Aside from frequent water shutoffs and the occasional plumbing problem, the building is a true delight.
There is an insane amount of storage space, so much so that it makes buying more clothing to fit in the two bedroom closets seem rational. The art decor inspired built-ins and various other characteristics make decorating easy if you're not terribly concerned with such things and downright exciting if you're a design freak like I am.
On the flip side, the features that make this place so great also factor in to its pitfalls. There is little insulation, and even though I'm one of the few units with carpeting, I've still received a number of noise complaints (and was never given formal or verbal notice of these). The building is a U shape and if you get a unit within the "inner U" and have any type of social life, it's a only a matter of time before you're asked to leave.
I go to PSU and am the most A-typical college student in terms of having people over at all times and all hours. There were a handful of occasions in which there were over 3 people here, always on a weekend, and I must have been complained about each time.
The policy for eviction here is no-cause, although I'm sure in some cases a reason is cited, but the no-cause can be hard to deal with when you know there's a real reason behind it.
Basically- great building for those who never entertain, or for people that have learned to be literally as quiet as a mouse.
PS- beware of hidden charges.
