I'm baffled why people complain about the service here- I called for help when I was trying to wire a lamp in the ceiling. The mainenance guy was in my apartment in 10 minutes. No joke. Then he jogged off to get a new light-switch cover for me. He was pleasant and explained how it worked and then was off to his next job. No complaining or excuses.

The staff are pleasant- they always say hello and are quite gracious. I've never had a problem.

We moved here because we wanted something more urban (well, as urban as portland gets) and we wanted to rent instead of buy.

Also, I moved here from NYC. I saw the other review where someone said we're in Portland, not NYC. Please. This apartment would be at least $3,000 in NYC. Probably more. And it would be smaller.
