Good, but not truly great

King Towers is a safe, clean high-rise in Goose Hollow. However, I think it's overpriced, even by the standards of the Northwest neighborhoods. My 330 square foot studio for $640 receives no natural sunlight and faces a back driveway. 330 square feet for $640 with no natural light'' There is no garbage disposal, and the ceiling is extremely low. It is possible to hear other tenants even through the concrete walls. Parking for visitors is a nightmare - there is no place to park for longer than an hour! For this price, you would best be advised to move to a Northwest or Southeast location for more space and light. The building also lacks "character" - it's a very bland-looking building.
The positives are: beautiful rooftop sundeck with fantastic view of Portland skyline, free coffee in the morning except Sunday (I think they should still have coffee on Sunday), courteous staff (but somehow I think they're more concerned about their non-studio tenants and also always appeared rushed), and walking distance to everything including MAX.
I've been here 2 years, and now I'm looking for more space at more reasonable prices.
