I've lived at King Tower now TWICE, and there a reason I came back. I Love it here! The location is awesome since it is close to everything the whole city has to offer. Groceries, dining, entertainment! There is nothing you can't step out the door and get to in just minutes. MAX and bus service is 1-3 blocks away too which is very convenient. The building is a key fob type entry, so you can't just stroll right in. They have a Security Guard on duty every night to keep an eye on things and people, and they will even help with packages too! The neighborhood is suprisingly quiet given you're two blocks off Burnside. Even with about 200 apartments, the laundry room seems to always be accessible, and they use a card system which means you don't have to run around trying to buy quarters off of uncooperative businesses. There is always awesome coffee in the mailroom every morning and some of the folks here actually brong goodies down for everyone. Like the previous poster, I park on the street and have never had to look for more than a few minutes.
The staff is pretty awesome too. They take my packages and mail for me when I'm traveling, always answer my questions and when on the few occasions I have something that needs to be fixed, they are right on it. I especially like the fact that they have parties here at various times. I'm not talking about a plate of cookies from Fred Meyer. I mean catered food from Elephants, coffee from Satrbucks, grilled burgers and chicken! Halloweeen was on the roof in the rain and wind and they went to considerabole trouble to put up tents, heaters, food, drink and decorations to beat the namd. Maybe I'm rambling on, but to me, in this day and age when customer service seems to be on the decline, when someone takes the time to go to those lengths for you just because, I like that a lot and it needs to be recognized and applauded. There have been a few plumbing issues as related to the building as a whole, but they have been right there working to get them fixed. OH! I forgot to mention the roof top! Awesome views and free gas grills for you to use!
I highly recommend this place!
