I am pretty sure that I am getting ripped off. I had to leave my apartment due to a family emergency (breaking my "non lease") and when I spoke with the manager or whomever they said my apartment was the only one to rent and it should be no problem (now the assistant manager said there are like 6 to rent out HUH')....and now 1 month later they still dont have it rented and everytime I call to speak with the assistant manager I get the run around and he never has any answers to my questions. If Anyone reads this be aware that it could happen to you also. You see, because of the income restricitions they can not, by law, charge you a lease break fee but they can charge you the full rent for the remainder of the lease if they dont find someone to rent the apartment too. I am afraid that is what they are doing to me. HELP!!

I lived in Pearl Court also managed by Bowen... I had to break my lease as well. I posted it on Craigslist and had at least 20 responses and about 5 people come see it. Worth a shot if this is still an issue for you.
