A solidly nice place to live

I've been living here for almost 2 years now, so I guess it's time I wrote a review.
The Bad: The building is almost 100 years old, and you can see remnants of this in things like the little doorways that were meant for milk deliveries, and the bathroom's art deco feel with old fashioned fixtures. The windows are indeed drafty, and it'll get cold in the winter, but I've never found that to be a huge problem. The free steam heat is *great* and more than makes up for it.
You *will* hear your neighbors, above you, below you, next to you, walking and talking in the hall, listening to music and doing other things. Get used to it. I live on the street side, and have to put up with noise from delivery trucks in the middle of the night, traffic, drunk people strolling through from downtown, games from PGE Park, and the occasional parade which disbands at Lincoln High School across the street.
There is on street parking and a parking garage across the street, neither of which are very cheap over the long term, and the city is very diligent about ticketing and towing without hesitation. However, if you live and work in the area you really have no need for a car, and I don't personally own one.
The Good: Location! If you look at this place on a map, it is in the exact spot on dead center of the west side. Everything from the Pearl, to downtown, to NW is available within walking distance, and the MAX, street car, and virtually every bus line is available to you. You can walk to five different movie theaters, bars, restaurants, there's really nothing you're without, and that alone makes this an excellent place to live.
Ryan Levenick is an exceptional manager. He has always made himself available, answers or returns calls promptly, and anything I've ever needed has been attended to quickly and satisfactorily. Whatever Circum Pacific pays him is not enough. The apartments are laid out a little oddly, but that gives a lot of space where you normally would not have it. The kitchen is spacious, and the closet is almost room-sized. You talk about walk-in closets, this could be a live-in closet.
Overall it's a nice place to live, and from the horror stories I've heard and read elsewhere I think I'm pretty lucky to have found this place. Everything is kept clean and orderly, Ryan maintains the building well for its age, it's a secure building, and I've never heard of anyone have any problems with safety or any of the neighbors. It's also a non-smoking building now which solves my biggest complaint with it in the past.
