We have been here for almost a year and a half now and plan to stay here for another year when we will be done with school/work. If you work or go to school at OHSU, you can't beat the convenience of living so close. Marquam Village is also very quiet, it has been very rare that we have had problems with noisy neighbors, and there have never been any real major disturbances. There is absolutely no street noise to deal with and our neighbors keep their pets very quiet, which is amazing considering most people who live here have dogs. We have had the same manager since we have lived here and he has been great. He shoveled our driveways by hand when we had a lot of snow last January, and he keeps the laundry room and the entire complex as neat as possible. There are two steep driveways to get out of the complex, with the lowest driveway being so steep that if it snows at all it is practically impossible to get out. That being said, there aren't many instances here in Portland where that is an issue more than a couple times per year. Parking, however, is free, and parking where you want is generally not a problem as the parking lot isn't usually completely full. The laundry facilities are very small, but I do my laundry at off times during the week and rarely have a problem with getting my laundry done. The floors can be pretty creaky in certain spots and the apartments aren't incredibly nice, but they are decent and the views are amazing. It is also nice to look outside your window and see nothing but trees, it gives you a feeling of seclusion and peacefulness that is hard to find in Portland. Overall, I would recommend these apartments to students and employees at OHSU.
