I've been here for two months now and it is awesome. The landlord is very attentive and when the washing machine 'ate' my quarters, he was 'johnny-on-the-spot' and had the machine serviced the next morning. He and his wife really seem to care about us.
The views are remarkable from my deck - I can see downtown Portland, Mt. St. Helens, and the top of Mt. Adams when it is really clear. The amenities are modest, but more than adequate, so don't expect a dishwasher, disposal, in apartment W&D. My range had me flashback to my childhood in the early seventies. It would be nice to get a new one instead of the Chewbacca brown I currently have, but hey, it cooks my meals.
It is a very QUIET place, which I love. The only time I know I have neighbors is when they are taking a shower. This is great for med students, as OHSU and NCNM are within walking distance of the place.
It is surrounded by Marquam Hill Nature Park - be sure to bring your binoculars, or buy a pair if you don't have one, because the bird watching is amazing.
The only criticism I give the place is the parking. Yes, one can find a spot with ease. However, the hills one must drive up to get out of the place would make a San Franciscan blush. Be prepared for a VERY steep slope when one gets here.
All in all, I highly recommend the place - good price, good manager, good location, awesome view.
