Yo!

A realistic review

For those who are considering buying a condo here or renting an apartment, this review is for you.
First of all, the guards are extremely nice and their English is not that bad, and certainly not as bad as was mentioned in the previous, grammatically incorrect reviews (talk about bad English!).
Here is what you should be aware of: you WILL hear the train. Even if you are at the far end of the apartments. However, we did get used to it. It's just a bit ear-shattering when you're outside and it "sneaks" up on you - those whistles are loud! And if the train stops for any reason or takes a long time (which it often does), beware that you will be locked in and have to wait (i.e., you can't get downtown or easily out of the area).
Secondly: There is a fairly large population of homeless people quite near this complex, and although they have mostly been harmless to me, I have passed by groups of people who were dealing drugs, so it is something to be aware of. You usually have to pass by these people if you are walking downtown or to the river (this is a city problem, though; not the Pier's).
Other than that, parking is free, the new staff is great, and yes, people (NOT US!) do leave dog poops around, unfortunately. This is definitely a tolerable place to live for a year, as we have done.
