Okay, so the last person who posted made the point that other postings may not have come from educated persons. You may read my posting and discover that while it is written in a casual style, with not much adherance to punctuation rules, I am a well-educated person.
I'm willing to bet some money that the person who made the positive posting is employed by the apartment management company. The staff at the time of my residence was a good deal stuck-up, but there was one girl, Kathy, whom I liked.
Now for my opinion...I lived in Watermark Square for two years. I moved in with a co-worker who already lived there, it was my first place on my own. The first apartment we lived in had a major cockroach issue. They came and sprayed it about four times during the two months I lived there and it did not resolve the issue, so they moved us into a bigger apartment, 2 bedroom, 2 bath, on the third floor, for the same rent, $600. During my initial portion of residency, when I told people where I lived, they said, "Felony flats'! Are you sure that's where you want to live'" I always responded with, "I've never had much of a problem and it's right across the street from the mall, where I work." This statement is true, I didn't have much of a problem, on that side of the complex. About six months into my tenancy, a friend was looking for a place to live, so after discussion, my roommate and I agreed to transfer to a three-bedroom apartment to accommodate another roommate. This is when we started noticing problems, and perhaps this is about when the problems began.
The tenants in my building were fine, but we only had 6 apartments in our building. Within the first three months of living in our new apartment, we almost ran over several children in the parking lot, who would not move, and yes, were unattended. Our apartment was broken into twice and there was a third attempted break-in. We locked ourselves out one night, two of us, the third was out of town, and it took maintenance six hours and three phone calls to respond. They finally came with a ladder to climb into our apartment with because they could not find their copy of our key.
About six months into our new tenancy, we had already called the police four or five times for extremely loud parties and fights. On one particular night, we called because the activity was in the parking lot just below our apartment and involved a gun. Yes, somebody was shot.
Oh, and that statement made by another person who wrote prior to me who said you can view garbage on top of the carports, was completely accurate. During my residence, there were dirty diapers among the garbage on the carports. For reference, I resided in the K building, on the third floor.
To come to a conclusion, was this the worst place I've ever lived' Not quite, but I've lived in the inner city projects at one point in my life and that place did take the cake. Is this place safe, quiet, or an enjoyable place to live if you have children you care about' The answer is a short and simple, no.
