then this is the place for you!
I've lived here for two years and while there have been small improvements since Alliance took over (yippee, they planted about 12 feet of new grass and changed the name), it still sucks and I'm planning on moving when my lease is up in May.
People are outside at all hours, day or night. It's "normal" to hear gunshots on a daily basis. I'm paying $715 in rent and my dryer only works sometimes. They ordered a new part for it, it took two weeks to come, and then the maintence guy brought it up to install it, decided our dryer didn't "need" it, tightened a few screws and left, even though the dryer smelled like it was on fire and sounded even worse. It worked for 3 days and broke again. They refuse to replace it.
All my closet doors fell off the hinges my 2nd week here. Maintence fixed them all right...they put everyone on BACKWARDS. Looks real nice.
I have ants in my bathroom. LOTS of tiny ghost ants coming out of every crevice, even though I'm a very neat person. Their solution' They keep calking around the tub every two weeks (over the old calking) so now it's a total nightmare of a mess, about 10 layers of crooked calking and ants are still eating through, I don't even want to take a shower.
I keep getting late notices for rent and water bills I've PAID IN FULL. They tell me it's just a mistake and then I get another one like 3 days later. It's really annoying.
My mailbox was broken into last year. They were "very sorry" and replaced the lock, gave me a new key...so I accidently went to unlock the mailbox with my old key, and wtf it opened! They replaced it with an identical lock. I conducted an experiment and discovered my key opened two other people's mailboxes!!! Management response' Oh, we'll get right on that. Uh huh.
Parking is annoying unless you want to pay $35 for a covered spot, it's so congested with cars that aren't supposed to be parked here, I usually end up parking on the side opposite my apartment and then I get to walk forever to my front door.
The workout room is a joke and the vending machines never work.
Pitbulls are "not allowed" but everyone seems to own one and lets them off leash. One tried to attack me and cocker spaniel.
Furthermore, gated community my arse! Did they really think a gate would stop people from getting in' The front gate is NEVER closed, but despite that, people still break off (yes, BREAK OFF) the doors leading from the side of the complex at least twice a week. I don't know why they even bother.
Need I say more'
