I lived at Wellington Springs from May 2004 - May 2005 (1 year). I was moving from out of state and had no idea of what areas of town to live in and when I checked out this place it seemed really nice and the apartments were very spacious for the price. I got a 700 sq. ft. 1 bedroom/1 bath including a washer & dryer and pretty big balcony for $525 and I signed a one year lease because at that time they had a promotion stating that if you signed a 1 year lease that you would get 1 month free. After the first month of living there I realized that even though the apartment itself was nice that pretty much everything else sucked. The other residents, management and thin walls were all hell.
This is the worst apartment I have ever lived in--EVER. First off, the manager (at that time) ---- is a rude -----. I had talked to her in person over 3 times with complaints & problems, and every time she acted like she didn't even know who I was and kept re-introducing herself to me.
Most all of the residents are trailer park trash. Practically Everyone here has at least 3 kids living with them and they let them run around like animals. If you live on the bottom floor your screwed. Or even the second floor. Basically if you have anyone living above you forget about sleep!!! Packs of kids just run around the buildings yelling and causing trouble.
The walls are so thin you feel like you are literally living with your neighbors.
I would NEVER recommend living here. At first it seemed like a great place until about a month living here. Everything that was advertised is not really here. They do not have a gated community. There is one gate but it is never closed. I agree with all the other responses on here. If you have this many bad reviews something is obviously wrong.
One of the couples that lived in the apt. across from me had so many domestic fights that the cops were here all the time. I don't even feel safe at night walking from my car to my apartment.... Which brings me to the parking situation. The parking is horrible...just like the other reviews said. It gets full fast and there is not enough spaces. That's why you always see tons of cars parked on the street.
I will tell everyone I know that is ever looking for an apartment in this area never to live here. I've already talked to 2 people that said they were interested in living here but after I told them how horrible it is they decided not to.
This place is so bad that people nicknamed it 'Felony Flats' Whenever I tell people where I live they refer it as that. I have heard gunshots several times late at night. I tried to get out of my lease early but they said I would have to pay hundreds of dollars in cancellation fees and the remainder of the months on my lease.
I was so happy when my lease was up and I got the hell out of there. Make the best decision in your life by NOT MOVING IN THIS TRASHY HELL HOLE.
