Worst year of my life living here.

I lived at Wellington Springs from June 2004 until May 2005. I moved from out of state and had only planned on living in PDX for 1 year and thought this place was an awesome deal.....boy was I wrong.

ALL the amenities offered were either not there at all or never worked. Before I signed a lease, they told me the "gated community" they already advertised would be up and running within 1 month after I move in. They also said the first community center facing Causey Ave. would have ALL new fitness equipment within 1 month. Well, months and months later the same old junk fitness equipment is STILL sitting in the 1st community center. And the 1 gate that is suppose to be closed was NEVER closed the entire year I lived there. The only fitness room you have access to is the one attached to the management office with glass windows--so EVERYONE in the office can see you. Plus, the hours are only for the times the office is open so they can monitor for damage. That's how ghetto this place is that they don't even trust the residents because people kept going in there and destroying the property.

I lived in a second floor unit in a building with 3 floors. Also another horrible mistake on my part. I had 2 different very loud neighbors that loved to stomp.
I had so many problems with the last ones that after 2 whole months of my complaints and complaints from the neighbors next to them--they finally got evicted. They had 3 adults and 2 children living in a 1 bedroom 700 sq.ft. Apt. When I brought this to managements attention they ignored me.

Jill is a -----. She actually tried telling me that residents in their apartments can be as loud as they want during the day as long as they are not breaking any laws. That is the most retarded thing I have ever heard. She said people have different hobbies and some hobbies are loud'! She should not be a manager.

Worst management I have ever dealt with. Jill is arrogant and rude to the residents.
I had so many problems with this place I was almost going to sue them. When I called the office to ask them for the owners phone # or the phone # for the company who owned them-- they acted like they didn't know ----. They told me it was a private owned company and they couldn't give out that info.....not even to their residents.

The owners of this dump need to come and clean house before it gets to the point of no return. All the staff should get fired and get rid of the ghetto residents.

Also, they should have a policy to not let children just run wild in the parking lot at all hours. IT is so annoying and loud.

One day as I got out of my car to walk to my apt. I was approached by a hooker asking where a certain apt. was. This place SERIOUSLY NEEDS SECURITY AT ALL HOURS--NOT JUST AT NIGHT TIME.

I tried to get out of my lease after 6 months of realizing it was NEVER GOING TO GET BETTER. By then they told me that after 6 months if you decide to break your lease you have to pay the rest of your lease off and other ridiculous cancelation fees.

This dump is not worth any money!!!

And as the other reviews said--parking sucks. You are allowed 2 cars per apartment-but the only way you can get a spot is if you are there before 7pm. I worked late nights so I always had to park on the ghetto street.

I lived by myself and never felt safe. I had a door stopper by my front door and slept with my lights on and my bedroom door locked.

It's sad that my experience living in Portland for 1 year was destroyed by this
hellhole.

I am just glad I finally got out of there.

There are enough of us here who would LOVE to sue them why don't we all get together and do it as a class action suit. Nothing works, and we have NO ammentities that were promised to us.
