ive lived here since june 12th 2006. i hate it. sure it looks nice on the outside, and when you walk into the apartments, oh and ofcourse management talks it up ALOT. but the truth is the structure of the building sucks, and its poorly maintained. im not going to hide anything from you so beware of a long review....
*the ducts in the building have not been blows so if you want to dry clothes it take at least 4 times of running the dryer for 60
mins on high heat for them to get dry... just think of the electric bill.......
* our disposial had something in it, they said they fixed it, but it was a lie we had to complin at least 3 more times to get the damn thing out( this was something when we moved in they told us would be fixed within the week.. lol took more like 2-3 weeks
* our faucet sink was leaking and needed a new faucet, we had to complain at least 3 times to get it replaces( this was something when we moved in they told us would be fixed within the week. took more like 2-3 weeks again) but still... its not put on correct and wiggles about an inch
* our toilet was plugged and over flowing took them 3 damn days to fix it... come on would you like to have a clooged toilet for 3 days'
* after they fixed toilet it was leaking( needed a new seal they said) they fixed seal 1-2 days later and so far to be honest i havent checked to see if it worked.
* in both bathrooms we had no water pressure, had to spend about 5 mins trying to get shampoon and conditioner out of your hair( this was fixed in about a week after complining 2 times
*the freezer door doenst have shelve guards( were told they were ordered the day we moved in) still have not recieved them and just the other day we opend the freezer and a frozen juice came out and smashed a big toe, broke the nail at the cuitcal and bled under the whole nail, she still can not walk and this happend 3 days ago( think this could be a law suit...)
* master bath drain doesnt drain well and i have been showering in f-ing calf deep water since we moved in.......... this is un acceptable, complained over 7 times
*handel on the toilet is broke and falling out, and it will make the toilet make that noise all night, if not in the correct position( been so sick of management havent complined yet, but will today)
*weather striping on the outside door is broken and drags on carpet when door closes and oepns complined first day we moved in and still hasnt been fixed
* pool is dirty, and closed, management doesnt know how to do the chemicals, its summer for goodness sake..oh and btw its an indoor pool, really not hard to take care of...
* people above us i swear have a heard of kids and they get up at 6am and love to run around and ride their tonka toys around the floor and crash into walls, oh and then theres the bouncing of the ball, we've informed the parent of the issue( said she was m oving soon) and informedf management of issue twice.. and nothing has been done, they didnt seem to care. sure i knwo with apartment life there will be some noise but this is outragous.
*parking does suck, only visitor is at the front by the office, and as residents yes theres a lot of parking but you do have to walk about 100 ft from the apartment( but this as you can see is the least of the problems!)
*the outgoing mail box is in the office in a file shelf.. kind of weird to me.... who knows how often my mail goes out....
*putting new roofing on the apartments so construction takes up parking spaces, and it is wayyyy too loud in the morning, i feel like im living downtown nyc at rush hour. between the kids and construction we never sleep.
*the front gate has closure times on it, and management said it closes.. havent seen it closed once since i lived here.. and trust me i dont go to bed early.
* oh and i almost forgot, a few days b4 our move in date they told us the apartment we planned on moving into was trashed so they moved us to another one. well this one had a huge hole in the celling( because the pipes were bad above us) which we were told would be fixed on the day we moved in. ha yeah right, i think it took them 2 weeks and i swear more than 9 complaints to finally get it started, so they put up sheet rock, and told us they would be back the next day, nope.. took about another 5 days for them to come back and finished it but since it took them so long we showered in the 2 days after the sheetrock was put up... all i gotta say is the maintnance guy sounded pissed when he walked in!
bottom line, yes they are pretty and cheep and tempting to move in,and the sayign is you get waht you pay for...
well if thats true i should be paying 200$ a month for a 3bd 2 bth, instead of around 725$
