I've lived here for about a week and I'm still blown away at how great my apartment is.

The kitchen is incredibly huge for a 1 bedroom; there are cupboards everywhere! I also have a 1 tub kitchen sink which is a major plus in my book.

They do not have the baseboard heaters; they have the newer style where it takes up very little of your wall so it saves money when you're heating.

They don't waste space and charge you extra for a stupid fireplace.

The bedroom is kind of awkward with the size of my furniture. The majority of one wall is dedicated to the closet so you can't really put something in front of that. Part of another wall is pushed out about a foot and a half (where the window is) so once it gets hotter, that will be the perfect place to have my standing air conditioner. But this just leaves my queen sized bed and my 8 foot long dresser to be next to each other. It just makes the bedroom seem lopsided to me but that's such a minor thing.

I have the stackable washer and dryer which I haven't had before but I'm only one person so it's doable.

Bathroom is of good size and there's some space under the sink to put your towels, something none of my other apartments have ever had!

Maintenance has been extremely quick and I've only had to call them once. I got a new water heater and when they were doing that they put in a new burst-proof hose to the washer/dryer and forgot to turn them back on. I asked for their help since I figured something wasn't connected and they were over within 5 minutes. This was a Saturday. You can also do maintenance requests online.

My backyard view is absolutely amazing. Oak Hill sits where West Union and Bethany intersect but I cannot hear any road noise at all. I think it's just because I got really lucky and got an apartment in the back left corner. I've added some pictures for you to see exactly what I'm talking about with my view though! You shouldn't have that type of view in an apartment!

The monthly rent is great as well; it is one of the cheapest. If you include all of the extras that you get in that rent, it IS the cheapest in the area. $700 for 730 sq. feet, covered parking, Water, Sewer, Garbage, expanded cable (the 72 channels). All you have to pay for is electricity and internet and phone. You can also get Verizon Fios here as well! It's very worth it.

You are also extremely close to HWY 26. I would say it's 3-5 minutes away including traffic.

I can hear my upstairs neighbor a bit, but it's very minimal. The front door likes to close a lot so you should either have your keys on you at all times or make sure the door knob lock is unlocked.

Be wary of mold, especially if you're on the bottom floor like me. The first floor is below ground a little bit (your bedroom is up against the dirt so it stays cooler in the summer) which makes it more susceptible.

Everywhere else in the complex seems like there's ample visitor parking but there definitely is a distinct lackage where I am. I think this is the only area in the complex that experiences this. But there is a bunch of parking a row up so when I have guests over that's where they'll have to go! I swear there's more guest parking there than assigned parking.

I think all of the apartments do not directly face the sun so you'll still be able to get all of the great sunlight, it just won't be cooking your apartment!

Overall, I am incredibly impressed with my apartment. Over the past couple of years, I've looked at well over 30 apartments in the tanasbourne area and none of them compare to this nor compete with the price.
