Once You Move In You'll Be Trapped In Your Unit

Once your a resident your trapped. Forget trying to move to a higher floor; those are reserved for people off the street. Apparently not for those who have lived here awhile, pay their rent on time, and never cause trouble.

When your fresh off the street you can have any unit you want thats come available; but if you live here the only opportunity to change units is if you upgrade and spend more.

So if you think you'll move in to that 4th floor apartment and just wait and see what comes up, FORGET IT! They told me when I moved it that it would be no problem to move up higher after my 6 month (the shortest one offered) when one came available. So I waited the 6 months, started checking in weekly to see what was available; then management changed and I no longer had the option of moving higher.

Even though I was willing to repay my deposits (letting them keep my current deposit till I was checked out of my current unit.

It is VERY frustrating that people off the street get 1st dibs on these units and those of us with loyalty and proven rental history don't get any chance at them.

I was considering these apartments while I attended PCC Sylvania and worked at Cascade Station (in the middle of both). So are the apartments and management really that bad according to you or are you just mad because you can't be higher up? It's probably for the best anyways, the higher you are the less chance you have getting out during a fire or earth quake, or the higher you have to jump if the fire is on the bottom floor. Would you recommend it to a 19 year old laid back student?
